Responsible for ensuring that Nexrail has effective technology solutions for their business process. Coordinate the implementation of application changes and improvements (or initial deployment), working closely with external TMA/maintenance providers. As a member of the IS/IT team, reporting to the IT Director, ensure that business application solutions align with the overall IT strategy, architecture and security. This person will take a strong interest in the detailed functioning of the entire Nexrail/LocMaint business model. This is a hands-on role, not a people-management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for digitalization and efficiency improvements.
- Identify and define business application improvement opportunities by working closely with business units to document requirements, evaluate solutions and prepare project specifications. Support budget preparation and approval process for application-related initiatives.
- Coordinate the implementation of changes and enhancements including: close cooperation with platform integrators, coordinating testing, training, user reference materials and documentation of customizations.
- Coordinate meeting business needs for on-going changes to existing systems.
- Monitor versions of IT platforms used to plan for upgrades.
- Supervise external TMA providers: prioritize support tickets, monitor SLAs, and validate the quality of delivered work
- Responsible for validating TMA and vendor supplier invoices and reporting relative to approved budgets.
- Process Troubleshooting & User Enablement: Providing long-term, hands-on support to unblock business processes. For example, if a Purchase Order is stuck in a workflow, this individual would not only resolve the bottleneck but also educate the user on the root cause to prevent recurring mistakes.
- Broader Application Scope: Expanding the role's focus to application champion for our foundational applications. Coordinating with operational teams to implement meaningful business process improvements
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Support change management and user adoption.
